Hull City are looking for an Academy Physiotherapist to work within their Academy at Bishop Burton College.

 

The successful candidate will be required to assist the Academy Lead Physiotherapist in the delivery and development of all medical/health, sports science and strength and conditioning matters. You will be expected to maintain high professional standards of clinical practice within the Medical and Sports Science Departments.

 

We are looking for someone who can be fully flexible to support with the medical provision for games, trips, tours etc. which may include travel within and outside the UK, including overnight stays.

 

Position Type: Permanent, full time 37.5 hours per week

Location: Hull City Academy, Bishop Burton College, HU17 8QG

Closing Date: 11am, Friday 18th April 2025.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

·        Assist in delivering and developing medical, health, sports science, and conditioning programs.

·        Assess, diagnose, and rehabilitate PDP and YDP players.

·        Provide pitch-based rehabilitation and emergency aid cover for training and matches.

·        Maintain an interdisciplinary approach, collaborating with coaches, sports science, and strength & conditioning staff.

·        Stay up to date with the latest advancements in sports medicine and professional regulations.

·        Build strong relationships with players, parents, and coaches to support injury prevention and rehabilitation.

·        Ensure compliance with professional regulations and maintain accurate medical records.

 

What are we looking for?

 

       The successful candidate must hold a degree in the field of Physiotherapy – Essential.

       Previous experience within a sporting environment. - Desirable

       We are looking for a candidate who can be fully flexible to suit the requirements of the Academy

       ATMMiF (as a minimum), accreditation, or equivalent, or the ability to complete this at the earliest opportunity. - Essential.

       Excellent interpersonal skills, who can effectively communicate with staff, players, parents and external providers.

       Focused on individual player development within a team process

       Ability to create relationships with players and identify support network to effectively support injury rehabilitation and performance needs.

       The safeguarding and welfare of our players is paramount and as such this position is subject to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
