- The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Security and Matchday Staffing Co-ordinator to join our team based at Villa Park and Bodymoor Heath Training Ground. This is a pivotal role to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained to meet the security needs of the day-to-day operation, matchdays and events to enable a smooth security operation at the stadium.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for security and stewarding positions. This will include coordinating the recruitment process, and the onboarding of any new starters and working in partnership with external recruitment agencies ensure. You will also be the first point of contact for matchday stewards and security staff related matters (working closely in collaboration with HR as and when appropriate), arranging security shift cover and maintaining rotas to ensure monthly wages are accurate.
You will also play an active role in developing and implementing training programmes to ensure our matchday teams are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. You will also review, develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard the Club premises and assets; this will include, conducting regular drills and exercises to evaluate security protocols and procedures and identify areas for improvement.

- The Person
We are looking for a proactive, self-starter who acts with a high level of integrity.
This is a varied role that requires you to have strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions quickly in a fast-paced operational environment. You will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with different audiences and manage difficult situations in a sensitive way whilst maintaining confidentiality.
You must have knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies, including access control systems, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems, with the ability to develop and deliver security training as and when required.
