Derby County Football Club, established in 1884, is one of the founder members of the English Football League and has a rich and varied history, including two First Division titles in 1972 and 1975 and an FA Cup success in 1946. The club are currently playing in the Sky Bet Championship, the second tier of English Football following their promotion from League One in the 2023/24 season and is under the management of Head Coach Paul Warne. The club also boasts a successful and respected Category One Academy, a status which has been held since 2014, and a Women’s side competing in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division. Derby County recently embarked on an exciting new era following the change in ownership to Clowes Developments (UK) Limited, in the summer of 2022. Derby County Football Club has the opportunity to join our team as a Broadcast & Content Assistant!
The successful candidate will be responsible helping with RamsTV’s live productions as well as preparing pre-produced content for the club’s digital channels and in-stadium digital screens, whilst keeping in line with the Club’s brand guidelines. You will have all-round knowledge of video production, including a good knowledge of audio editing and equipment, as well as a passion for editing fast-turnaround, innovative and creative content with an interest in Football and some previous experience in quick turnaround sports news edits or similar. Your main responsibilities will include contributing with ideas for RamsTV features, ability to work independently utilising necessary resource to complete projects and to work match days on the broadcast of matches for RamsTV’s live streams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create highly engaging videos for all DCFC / RamsTV platforms.
- Prep for Live Shows, this can include match clipping, graphic creation, video edits.
- Quality checks on show content prior to broadcast.
- Assist with the organisation and upkeep of RamsTV Gallery, Studio and storage rooms.
- Assist with studio set up / rigging.
- Create highly engaging videos for DCFC / RamsTV platforms when required.
- Assist with in-stadium video wall operation when required.
- Work with producers and presenters to understand the project scope and objectives.
- Encoding, converting, editing and uploading videos.
- Keeping abreast of advancements in broadcast / streaming technologies.
- Understand all DCFC filming and gallery equipment from cameras to lighting.
- Help to maintain RamsTV’s archive of video content.
- To be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of customers and colleagues, complying with health and safety guidance and policy.
- Continuously work to maintain, embed and improve the club’s safeguarding provision, ensuring the highest standards for safeguarding children and adults at risk.
- To uphold and promote organisational policies and procedures, promoting those specifically applicable to this area of work and also including equality, diversity and inclusion.
- To present and promote an appropriate public image in representing the organisation.
- To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post.
Personal characteristics and experience:

Essential Experience:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Photoshop
- Use of a variety of camera equipment
- Strong filming knowledge
Desirable Qualifications:
- At least 2 years video editing experience preferably in a sports environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Video Production
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-end video editing skills
Salary is dependent on experience.
This role is set on a 9am-5pm Monday to Friday working week with an expectation to work matchdays.
